The Ox of the Year
printing instructions

Picture
Thank you for purchasing my print!

You have received download instructions by now
and will have 5 attempts in the next day or two in case one or two don't go smoothy.
(But they should.)

You can print the Ox art on any home printer (or even at a local print shop).
I prefer the very subtle color version but you can also print in simple black + white and that looks fine, too.

Each printer is slightly different but you should know the following things.
I designed this print so that it looks fine on the standard 8 1/2 x 11 printer paper
but sized it so that you can mat or frame it for the standard 8 x 10 frame or mat opening.

You can print on any paper that your printer is able to handle,
just know that paper with a watermark is not going to look so hot.

Set your printer page sizing to "actual size".
Print in color if that's an option.
If color is an option, make sure that the "print in grey scale (black + white)" is unchecked.
On my printer, in "advanced" print set up, I have an option to check to "let printer determine colors".
That works best for my HP ENVY Photo printer
but again, each printer is different.

You might want to start by printing on a plain sheet of printer paper and see what happens.
That can be one for the fridge or your final version!

If your color image looks close to black and white, that's how it should look.
As I mentioned, the color is super subtle warm brown with black and grey
and I made it that way so that it's easy for anyone to print.

If you get streaks or blobs of ink on your print, then you know it's time to clean your printer heads and so forth.
Instructions for that sort of thing can be found in your printer utility area.

Enjoy!
